Please note Topknot Timber Flooring provides its services that operates under a private and confidential agreement with its customers only, therefore we do not carry out work for third-parties such as insurance companies or management services etc. and nor do we provide paperwork or receipt to be shared with any third parties.

In terms of the services:
  1. we will not be responsible for any foreseeable loss or damage for example the sub floor is not level and or squeaking and the customer still wants to proceed with putting a new floor down anyway after we discussed this issue with the customer.
  2. Any information or advice given is for information purposes only. This includes email, phone calls, texts, face to face or by any other means of communication.
  3. Flooring Supplied by Customer - It is the customers responsibility where they are suppling the flooring and any products needed must be ready on site. Flooring must be stored in the room(s) by the customer where the work is to be carried out to acclimatise to its new environment normally 48hrs prior to fitting.
    • Where a client has supplied the flooring, it is the client’s responsibility to ensure sufficient boxes of flooring and the correct accessories such as End-profiles, Scotia beading etc. are onsite on the allocated project timelines. However, if there are incorrect boxes of flooring or incorrect accessories (i.e. wrong colour or incorrect profile ordered) the client will need to ensure these are onsite before the project ends. If this is not possible due to delivery/availability of stock etc. it will incur a return fee to cover returning to the project at a later date to complete the project. The return fee will be set out in advance.
  4. All fees are in Fiat currency only unless agreed upon otherwise.
  5. When a fit and/or supply price is agreed via email or otherwise a contract is agreed upon by both Topknot Timber Flooring & the person who is having the service done. Any forms of receipt/paperwork that is requested must have been agreed upon in writing before initial contract is agreed upon by both parties. Any requests after this is solely down to the discretion of Topknot Timber Flooring and its associates. This does not effect your 12 month guarantee.
  6. All rooms must be cleared in advance by the customer before we come to site unless agreed otherwise. Fees may apply if room is not clear after being agreed.
  7. Due to a tight schedule, any delivery of flooring that cannot be delivered on time either by the customer or supplier could mean the job to be held up until next floor fitting availability. We take no responsibility or liability for anytime or financial loss this could cause the customer as its out of our control.
  8. 50% deposit will be required upfront before works begins. This secures the job and also stops time wasters. The other 50% will be paid on the day of job completion.
  9. Failure to pay for services on time will incur a 5% interest fee of the total job cost. Ignoring this and payment will be collected through the common law court plus added cost of my time & others.
  10. The customer has 48 hours after project is complete to further survey the flooring that was carried out and raise any issues if need be via email. After this 48-hour period and we don’t hear anything from the customer we take it that you are still happy with the floor fitting.
  11. Twelve month guarantee comes with all timber floors and twelve month guarantee starts when the last floor board is complete. This includes if door bars have become unstuck, the floor joints have separated and any issue that may arise from the fitting aspect by Topknot Timber Flooring and not from the manufacturer of the material.

Before works begin any health & safety concerns we foresee will be discussed and made clear to the customer and best practice steps will be taken to overcome this and create a safe & healthy working environment for all. Due to the nature of each individual customers property &

environment being somewhat different from the last, we treat this always on an individual basis that best protects the health & safety of us and our customer and not a blanket approach.
